What Happens when you see a Family Physician Outside CVFP?

AAA

Did you know….

Your CVFP doctor pays the government for services provided to you by Family Doctors outside CVFP?

Each month, CVFP pays up to $75,000 back to the government for services paid for patients seeing other providers!

This is rapidly increasing and represents an increase of 40% over last year!

What is your doctor doing to try to ensure CVFP provides all your health care needs?

An enhanced access program where any CVFP patient can be seen by a provider in our clinic same day or next day.

An in-house team of nursing and interdisciplinary health professionals who help patients through phone appointments or clinic appointments where seeing a physician isn’t required

Telephone appointments.

A newly implemented secure email system some doctors are using with patients.

What can you do to help your doctor avoid paying money back for services provided?

Call us first for your health needs, or if you have any questions.

Green team: Drs Richardson, Johns and Svrceck 403-539-5210

Yellow team: Drs Ward, Seigel, Orr and Nurse Practitioner Wendi Walcer 403-539-5212

Blue Team: Drs McLeanWiest, Klassen, and Gillis 403-539-5212

Gold Team: Drs Bockmuhel, Miller and Croteau 403-539-5213

Silver Team: Drs Stefanek, Jablonski and Young 403-539-5214

Avoid ‘walk in clinics’ - call HealthLink (811) to decide if your problem can wait until your doctor can see you.

If you are getting medical services and have to pay to receive them (example - cosmetic procedures like botox, private weight loss clinics, physicians who provide ‘alternative’ or complementary care) - ask if their services are being billed to Alberta Health - if so, your doctor is likely paying for this service!
