Meet our Residents

Dr. Vivan Cheng

She immigrated from Taiwan to Canada at the age of 17, and completed a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology & Immunology at UBC prior to medical school. In her spare time, Vivian enjoys traveling to different places to experience various cultures and meet new people. When she is not at work, she enjoys biking and exploring different trails, watching movies with friends, and coffee-shop hopping while reading books. Vivian hopes to explore new interests in global health and women's health during residency, and have a fulfilling and rewarding stay as a resident in Crowfoot Family practice.

Dr. Julie Croteau

Dr. Julie Croteau was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She completed a BSc. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Alberta prior to completing her Medical Degree at the University of Calgary. She is thrilled to be joining the team at CVFP for her family medicine residency. When she's not working, you can often find her in Canmore with her husband and their dog, hiking, biking, skiing and adventuring. She also enjoys yoga, reading and spending time with friends.

Dr. Norry Kaler

I'm excited to start working as part of the CVFP team. I'm a 36 year old father of 2 young girls. I crave spending time with my girls. We are constantly adventuring into the mountains to paddle, hike, bike, ski, and relax. Our 5 year old loves tennis and we find ourselves playing 4-5x/ week. In the winter we try to hit our favourite secret toboggan runs near Canmore and some skating in our homemade hockey rink. I grew up in Edmonton, did my undergraduate degree in Prince George, BC , my MSc doing diabetes research in northern Aboriginal communities, and then my MD at Dalhousie University in Halifax. In between my education, I was a ski coach/instructor, and lived in Sweden for a year. I'm looking forward to serving the patients at CVFP.

Dr. Kesa Robinson

Dr. Robinson was born and raised in Brooks, Alberta and completed both her BSc. in Kinesiology and Medical Degree at the University of Calgary.  She has a special interest in health promotion and chronic disease management but above all loves family medicine and is thrilled to be joining the team at CVFP!  In her spare time you will likely find her in Kananaskis where she shares a home with her husband.  She loves cooking, game nights, running, and curling up on the couch with her favorite TV show or good movie!

She has performed at the Jack Singer Concert Hall, Jubilee Auditorium, appeared on Breakfast Television, and even collaborated with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. She also enjoys board games, traveling, and trying new foods!

Dr. Mandy Lim

Dr. Amanda (Mandy) Lim grew up in Calgary and attended medical school at the University of Calgary. Within Family Medicine, her interests include chronic disease management, preventative medicine and interdisciplinary primary care, so she is super excited to be working with the team at CVFP. Mandy enjoys music, photography, experimenting in the kitchen, and playing Ultimate Frisbee. She also spends much of her free time mentoring youth in her church community. Her hope is to continue in a path of life-long learning by having a diverse, community-based family practice in Calgary upon completion of her training.

Dr. Zaven Mangassarian

Zaven was born in Abu Dhabi and lived in three countries before immigrating to Canada as a teenager. He is of Armenian heritage. He completed medical school at the University of Toronto after obtaining a BASc in Civil Engineering from the same university. Dr. Kaitlin Robertson

Dr. Kaitlin Robertson was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta where she completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Alberta. Medical school brought her down the highway to the University of Calgary and first introduced her to the CVFP family - where she has now found her home for residency.
