Why CVFP?
Our Health Team constantly strives to provide outstanding patient care for every one of our patients.

Our Funding Model
CVFP has been funded under a unique model for over two decades -- Alberta Health pays us differently than most physicians. Typically, when a Family Physician provides care for a patient, they bill Alberta Health a fee for that visit, and for each time they see that patient. This is called fee for service.
At CVFP when a patient chooses to join our practice, Alberta Health pays us an annual fee to provide care for that patient, no matter how often we see them for a visit.
There are a variety of physician funding models throughout Calgary and in Alberta. Our funding is unique to CVFP and is the foundation of our Health Home.
New Patient Waitlist
Temporarily Paused
CVFP has been working hard to create more spaces for new patients. With the launch of our Rainbow Team in 2024, we have been able to onboard almost 1,000 new patients, many who had been without primary care for years.
Our new Rainbow patients, plus the unexpected retirement of one of our doctors, puts our clinic at full capacity. This means we are not able to take on new patients at this time, and our waitlist will be paused until further notice.
We appreciate how frustrating this is, especially if you don’t currently have a family doctor. Our team encourages you to check out Alberta Find a Doctor . We know that there are new doctors at the Calgary Foothills Primary Care Network and other family doctors in Calgary setting up practices who are taking patients.
